Solitaire unblocked: play Solitaire online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.
Solitaire is the quintessential single-player card game, offering a calm and methodical challenge that players have enjoyed across digital screens for decades. This web version delivers clean Klondike rules directly in your browser, providing an engaging blend of forward planning, pattern recognition, and luck of the draw. Whether you have five minutes between tasks or want a longer session to unwind, it is an easy game to pick up instantly.
On Drift Boss, Solitaire serves as a great change of pace from fast-reaction driving games and precision platformers. Instead of timing tight drifts or dodging obstacles at high speed, you can slow down, assess the table, and think several steps ahead to clear all fifty-two cards.
How to play
The game is set up with seven tableau columns across the board, four empty foundation piles at the top, and a stockpile for drawing extra cards. Your objective is to move all cards to the four foundations, sorted by suit from Ace up through King.
Within the seven tableau columns, you can stack cards in descending numerical sequence while alternating between red and black suits. For example, a black 7 can be placed on a red 8, followed by a red 6. Face-down cards in a column flip face-up once you clear the cards resting above them. If an entire tableau column becomes empty, you can place a King (or a stack starting with a King) into that vacant slot to start a new sequence.
When no constructive moves remain on the board, draw cards from the top stockpile to find fresh options. You can click and drag cards or click them to automatically send valid moves to the foundation.
Tips for solving more deals
While some random card layouts cannot be solved, following a few reliable principles will dramatically increase your win rate:
- Target face-down cards first: Whenever you have a choice between moving a card from the draw pile or revealing a hidden card in the tableau, prioritize revealing the hidden card. Uncovering columns gives you more information and flexibility.
- Clear columns for Kings: An empty tableau spot is only useful if you have a King ready to fill it. Avoid opening empty columns until you have an available King, or you will simply reduce your usable tableau space.
- Hold back low foundation cards: Moving low-value cards like Twos and Threes to the foundation immediately is always safe, but sending higher cards up too quickly can trap other cards you need to build sequences in the tableau.
- Check every column before drawing: Exhaust all possible tableau-to-tableau maneuvers before clicking the stockpile, ensuring you do not overlook easy matches.

Questions about Solitaire
Is Solitaire unblocked at school?
Solitaire runs in an ordinary browser tab from driftboss.us.com, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
How do you win a game of Solitaire?
You win by moving all 52 cards into the four foundation piles at the top, arranged by suit in ascending order from Ace to King.
What cards can be placed in an empty tableau column?
Only a King, or a sequence of cards led by a King, can be placed into an empty column on the board.
Is every deal of Klondike Solitaire winnable?
No, due to the random shuffle of cards, not every deal can be solved even with perfect play, but smart moves greatly improve your odds.
Can I play Solitaire on mobile devices and Chromebooks?
Yes. Solitaire runs entirely in standard HTML5 web browsers, so you can play using touch controls or a mouse without installing anything.
